Why Grow? For the first time since the original construction in 1956, Ossington Pentecostal Church (OPC) is renovating and expanding our Church facility from its current 6,000 sq ft. to 4000 sq ft. to better serve the body of Christ and serve the downtown community which has been part of all these years. The increase to the sanctuary footprint is a considerable increase of 40 – 50% to facilitate the present needs and future growth of the congregation. Expansion to the Nursery, Sunday School as well as Meeting rooms will assist with keeping everyone in a comfortable, safe and secure environment. The new layout will also provide for more open usable space to facilitate cross functional usage with the multiple ministries reflected here at OPC.Since the inception of this vision to expand and renovate in 2012 the congregation, Board and Building Expansion Committee (BEC) have been working diligently to see God’s work come to fruition. By establishing new processes to leverage technology to communicate more effectively, the OPC BEC team has been working behind the scenes to move the work God has birthed in us forward. Here are some of the time lines from inception to where we are today. Also, some of the target dates we hope to achieve God willing……

Our New Building
We can take our facilities for granted, but they are an important tool for God’s ministry. Church facilities don’t need to be excessive, but they do need to be functional, clean, dry and nice-looking spaces. They need to be of an appropriate size and scope to accommodate the future growth we anticipate.

“Moses said to all the congregation of the people of Israel, “This is the thing that the LORD had commanded. Take from among you a contribution to the LORD. Whoever is of a generous heart, let him bring the LORD’s contribution…..And they came, everyone whose heart stirred him, and everyone whose spirit moved hi-, and brought the LORD’s contribution to be used for the tent of meeting and for all its service…the material they had was sufficient to do all the work , and more.” Exodus 35:4-5, 21, 36:7
